1 Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service describe the contract between you and DHD SNKRS LTD for use of the website dhdsnkrs.hair and for the supply of the stockroom services listed on this site. By continuing to browse the site, by submitting a contact form, by accepting a written quote or by sending a parcel to our Loughborough bench, you confirm that you have read these terms, that you understand them and that you agree to be bound by them.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms you should not send a parcel or place an order, and you may continue to view the public pages for reference only. Where a service is arranged with a shop or an organisation, the person signing the agreement confirms that they hold authority to bind that shop, and the shop agrees to these terms as fully as any private collector.
These terms sit beside our Privacy Policy. Both documents are part of the same working relationship, and a clause in one never overrides a statutory duty owed in the other. In the event of a conflict on how we handle personal data, the Privacy Policy governs the handling of that personal data.
2 Definitions and the Desk
For the length of these terms the following words carry the meanings set out here. The company means DHD SNKRS LTD, our site means the website at dhdsnkrs.hair, the desk means our Loughborough stockroom team and any authorised agent, and the bench means the inspection and grading practice carried out in that stockroom.
A consignor is any person who asks us to list or sell a pair on their behalf, and a shopper is any person who buys a listed pair through a connected marketplace or direct checkout. A pair means one set of matching shoes of a single colourway and size, and deadstock means an unworn pair with the original build still factory sealed in the opinion recorded at inspection.
A size run is a group of pairs of one colourway across multiple sizes that we assemble to form a complete set. A reservation is a held interest in a future release or a scheduled arrival that has not yet become a binding order. A settlement is the payment we make to a consignor once a sold pair has cleared the relevant cooling period. Any other capitalised term takes the meaning given where it first appears below.
3 Eligibility to Use the Services
You must be at least sixteen years of age to use the interactive parts of the site and at least eighteen to consign, buy, value or settle a transaction. By using our services you promise that the details you give are true, current and complete, and that you are authorised to deal with the pair or the money involved. We may refuse service at any time if information cannot be confirmed.
We operate on an honest dealing standard. You further agree that you will not misrepresent the ownership, the condition or the history of a pair you send to us, that you will not ask us to evade a lawful marketplace process, and that you will not attempt to interfere with another customer order or with the working of our site through automated abuse.
Because the market is international, some countries place restrictions on the import of certain goods or on certain resale activity. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a purchase or dispatch from our Loughborough bench is lawful in the place where the pair will be received, and we are not responsible for a delay caused by customs requirements that apply to your territory.
4 The Services in Outline
DHD SNKRS LTD provides authenticated handling for sneakers. The main lanes are authenticated consignment, in which we list and sell on a consignor behalf; deadstock sourcing, in which we search for an unworn pair on request; care and restoration, in which we clean or gently restore worn pairs; size run curation, in which we assemble complete sets for shops; drop calendar systems, in which we share dated release guidance; and trade-in valuations, in which we grade a pair and offer cash or credit.
Every lane shares the same bench discipline. A pair is received, inspected under bright even light, measured across sole and fit, photographed against the crep cloth, logged with a reference and stored securely until it is dispatched back or sold. Where we provide a written description we record our honest reading of the pair together with any caveats, and we do not polish a story beyond what the shoe shows.
Some services, notably a full restoration, change the physical appearance of a pair and therefore lower or raise its value depending on the look a collector wants. Because that outcome depends on skilled judgement rather than a formula, service descriptions on the site are illustrative of what we aim to deliver and are further defined by the written quote you accept before work begins.
5 Orders, Bookings and Quotes
A consultation does not create a binding contract. When you send a message asking us to value, restore or source a pair, we reply with a desk note and, where you ask for a commitment, with a written quote. That quote states the lane, the service window, the fee and any assumptions about condition or size. The contract begins only when you confirm the quote in writing through our email or contact form.
A reservation for a future release holds a place subject to stock. A reservation does not guarantee that we will obtain the pair, because retail stock at a release is decided by brands and by our suppliers, not by us. When the reserved pair arrives and we confirm a price, you have a short window to convert the reservation into an order; if you do not reply within that window the reservation lapses and the pair may be offered to the next name on the list.
In exceptional circumstances, such as a courier strike or a release that is withdrawn by the brand, we may be unable to complete a booking. Where this happens through no fault of yours we will refund any amount paid for the unfinished part of the service and, where you asked for the pair, give you the earliest guidance we have on a replacement window.
6 Prices, Fees and Settlements
Prices shown on the site for products are given in the currency of the connected checkout at the time you pay and may include or exclude delivery depending on the listing. The price you see at the moment a booking is confirmed is the price you pay, subject only to clearly listed taxes that apply at your destination. We will not raise the price of an already confirmed order to cover a courier mistake.
Consignment fees are expressed as a percentage of the successful sale price and are disclosed in the written quote before a listing goes live. Sourcing and restoration work carries a fixed service fee or an hourly bench rate that is agreed in writing first. Valuation work carries a small inspection fee that is waived if you accept a trade without a further redemption requirement.
Settlement to a consignor follows a short cooling period after delivery so that the shopper has a lawful chance to raise a genuine issue. After that period we transfer the agreed sale proceeds to the account you provided, less the agreed fee and any reasonable logistics charge, and we send a settlement note showing the arithmetic. Transfer speed depends on your bank and we cannot guarantee a date beyond a fair estimate.
7 Consignment Lane Rules
When you consign a pair you remain the owner until it is sold and settled, and you grant us a limited authority to list, describe, photograph and dispatch that pair for sale. You confirm that you own the pair or are authorised to sell it, that it is not stolen and that nothing about your title to the pair is subject to a third party dispute.
We set a reserve only where you ask for one. If a genuine buyer offer meets the reserve, the deal proceeds; if no offer reaches the reserve within an agreed listing window, the pair is returned to you or re-listed at a reset figure that you approve in writing. We review offers fairly and report genuine activity to you so that a slow listing is never a mystery.
Sale proceeds belong to you minus our disclosed fee and direct logistics. We hold consigned stock separately from our own stock and label every box so there is no doubt about ownership. A consignment can be withdrawn before a binding buyer contract only if no checkout has opened; if a buyer has already paid, the sale must complete and the proceeds will be settled to you.
8 Deadstock Sourcing Terms
When you request a deadstock search we use our network to look for the exact size and colourway you listed. A sourcing request is a service of best effort, not a guarantee of supply, because rare pairs can disappear from every verified shelf in a single weekend. We quote a search fee that covers the work of locating, verifying and offering the pair, and we refund the fee in the narrow case where we locate nothing within the agreed search window.
Any pair we source is re-inspected when it reaches our bench. If a pair we source does not live up to the deadstock description we agreed, you may reject it before dispatch and we will not charge you for that pair; where you reject a located pair for a reason that does not concern its build, the sourcing fee applies as agreed at booking.
We route sourced pairs through the same dispatch run and expect a typical delivery within a broad window depending on origin. Sourcing does not alter the original box or tissue beyond the single inspection we document, and a pair leaves us sealed in its original packaging plus a firm outer layer.
9 Care and Restoration Terms
Restoration changes the surface of a pair through cleaning, re-seeding, steam or targeted repair. Because materials vary, no result can be promised as identical to factory finish, but we do guarantee that the work will be carried out with the accepted bench method in the quote and that we will not take a step we cannot reverse without warning you first.
Before work begins we photograph the pair in its current condition and agree the scope in writing, including which panels may receive pigment and which areas will be left original. If the leather is weaker than expected we will stop and seek your written approval rather than proceed with a risky method, and any such pause does not begin a new bill without your agreement.
We are careful with every parcel, yet restoration is skilled work on aged materials and some surfaces can be fragile. Our responsibility for the physical pair is limited to the value agreed in the written quote, so we ask that high value pairs are valued and agreed at booking and offered the option of insured restoration where our standard care cover would sit below the worth of the shoe.
10 Trade-In Valuations and Credit
A trade-in valuation grades a pair against current market tone and recorded sales, and the resulting number is an opinion given honestly at that date, not a promise about tomorrow market. The valuation sets cash that we are prepared to offer or credit that we are prepared to accept for the pair, and either offer is optional for you to accept or decline.
If you accept the cash offer we purchase the pair from you at the agreed grade and re-list it through our own stock lane. If you accept credit we issue a credit note against your chosen reference that can be applied to a reserve, a sourcing fee or a restoration within the validity window shown on the note. Credit holds no monetary value until applied and cannot be exchanged for cash once issued unless the law requires it.
We respond to valuations with a short written note describing the grade we applied and the reason, so that the decision feels transparent rather than mechanical. Valuation notes are held for ninety days if you need time to arrange the return of the pair, after which an unclaimed pair is returned to the address in your account at your cost or retained under a further written agreement.
11 Shipping, Care and Transit Risk
Pairs travel to and from the bench under a quoted logistics arrangement. For our own dispatch we select couriers that handle high value parcels with tracked, signed and insured transit. The quoted price for an outgoing order includes that insured transit where the listing states it clearly. For consigned or mailed pairs the risk during transit to us sits with the sender until our bench acknowledges physical receipt.
We inspect every inbound parcel on arrival and report any sign of damage at the outer package before we open it. If the box or padding shows transit damage we photograph it, note the claims step for the courier and keep the material separate so an insurance claim has clean evidence rather than conjecture.
Storage inside the bench is dry, shelved and held at a steady room temperature away from sunlight. We ask senders to pad a pair well because an unprotected shoe can knock during a long trip, and we accept no liability for damage inside the parcel that existed before we opened it and is documented in our inbound photographs.
12 Returns, Refunds and Disputes
A shopper who buys a listed pair enjoys the cooling and return rights granted by the marketplace through which the sale is completed, and we honour a reasonable review of an item that arrives different from the described condition. To be eligible for a return, the pair must reach us unused and in its original double tissue, box and accessories, with the bench tag still attached.
Where a return is genuine, a refund is issued to the original payment method within the window stated at checkout, and where a return reason is not genuine we explain clearly, with photographs, why the cleaning or wear falls outside the promised condition. We never style a rejection with vague wording; a clear photograph shows more than a confident sentence.
If a consigned pair is returned because the shopper found it not as described, the listing is corrected or the pair returned to you with our fee for that unsuccessful sale waived. Where a dispute cannot be resolved in the lane, we offer a written explanation and a fair path to escalate the matter as set out in the governing law section below.
13 Authentication and Accuracy
Authentication is careful examination, not a written guarantee from the brand. We inspect labels, serial bands, sole build, box print, laces and construction against the record we hold for that model, and we present our honest finding in the summary we publish. No six second glance sits behind our finding; the pair stays on the cloth long enough for a genuine review.
We do not certify a pair as factory perfect unless the evidence strongly supports that reading, and we prefer to over record a small caveat than to overstate a finish. Our descriptions distinguish between verified detail we photographed and educated industry that a pair shares. That distinction protects the buyer from a misleading claim and protects us from being expected to prove the unprovable.
If a documented authority later demonstrates that a pair we handled was not as we described and you relied on our description to buy it, we work with you and the seller to put matters right under the relevant marketplace guarantee. Total liability in such a dispute is limited in the way described in the liability section of these terms.
14 Website Content and Permitted Use
The pages of this site, including its text, layout, colour palette and the shoe illustrations that support the theme, are provided by DHD SNKRS LTD. You may view and print content for your own private use, share links to the pages and quote brief passages with credit to the source. You may not copy whole sections or the visual design for a competing purpose, scrape the site, or use the content in a way that implies our endorsement without permission.
We work to keep the site accurate, but a product page can carry a genuine error such as a stale price or a reversed size. Where an obvious error appears we reserve the right to cancel an affected order and refund any payment, telling you promptly what happened. Correction of such an error is not a breach of the contract by either side.
The site may link to marketplaces and couriers that run their own terms. Following one of those links takes you outside our pages and the destination terms and privacy practices then apply to your activity there. We name the linked sources for convenience and do not assume responsibility for the content a third party chooses to host.
15 Liability and Limits
This section explains how responsibility for loss is shared. Nothing in these terms removes or limits a right we may not lawfully limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or for any liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales. Within what the law allows, our total liability arising from a single transaction is limited to the amount paid by you for that transaction.
We will not be liable for indirect loss such as a lost onward sale, lost income, a drop in a collection value or disappointment arising from a market change, because those outcomes depend on forces outside the handling of a pair. Where a pair is lost or damaged while in our physical care after inbound receipt, we work to the insured value agreed at booking rather than an unstated higher value.
We do not promise that the site will be error free or never interrupted. The bench may pause for essential maintenance or due to a fault outside our control, and during such a pause we aim to protect any in-transit parcel and to resume dispatch promptly. Our reliance on couriers, processers and energy suppliers is disclosed so that you can see where the chain carries its own duty.
16 Governing Law and Complaints
These terms and any transaction carried out under them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We conduct business from the United Kingdom (GB), and where you are a consumer you keep the mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your own country as well.
Before any court claim, we ask that you give the desk a fair chance to resolve the issue. Write to reach@dhdsnkrs.hair describing the pair, the reference and the outcome you seek, and we will reply within five working days with a clear position. Most disagreements, whether about a grade, a fee or a dispatch, are settled in this first exchange because we hold the photographs and notes on both sides of the conversation.
Where a resolution is not reached, you may refer the matter to an independent alternative dispute resolution service that operates for online and cross border trade if one applies to your circumstance, and you always retain the right to bring the matter before a competent court. A complaint never ends the guarantee rights granted to you elsewhere in these terms or by law.
